About the Event
CRSSLA education committee co-chair Alberta Moore will lead the group in a discussion on helping guide parents in planning for the spring semester.
Beverly Matthews, education director at the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center, will share their recent experiences engaging students in completing more high dosage tutoring and i-Ready reading and math lessons. Their new "i-Ready Rally" has a goal of a mininum 200 lessons completed per month. Students can earn a "Fun Friday" event at month-end when they achieve the goal. Students who achieve high dosage tutoring with at least three 30-minute tutoring sessions each week can participate in weekly drawings. Their first Fun Friday was held last month with 297 lessons completed.
Bring your strategies to share with others as we work together to provide more HDT in the South LA area.
