About the Event
As California voters grapple with the decision to support or oppose Prop 16, there is a groundswell of discussion among the community about its implications for civic life among people of color and their allies. On the eve of the November 3 election, this timely teach-in is designed to educate CRSSLA members and their families and friends about the incredible stakes associated with the passage or rejection of this constitutional amendment. An interactive and engaging format, participants will be encouraged to share their own reflections about the role of discrimination, and strategies to address it, in public employment, public education, and public contracting. Your voice matters!
Presented by the Community Response System of South Los Angeles (CRSSLA), with a mission to proactively provide critical response services through education, resources, information, and addressing health needs of the at-risk, low-income, and homeless populations. We will see you soon!
Moderator: Robert M. Sausedo, Founder of CRSSLA and President/CEO of Community Build, Inc.
