About the Event
Less than 10% of students at many South LA-area schools typically test proficient in math and English Language Arts. Schools and parents are already seeing students having even more learning losses due to the school closures. Our committee is working to help our students receive the academic enrichment and support needed to achieve college and career readiness.
Civic and community agencies, schools, businesses, parents, youth and other stakeholders welcome.
Next steps:
We completed our four case management trainings to help participants be more effectivce in making family care calls. Thank you to Dr. Angela Parker from Jenesse Center and Dr. Nathan Sessoms from LMU for some very powerful trainings for more than 90 participants. Per participant requests, we are considering a monthly case management group to provide continuing education and strategies for implementing the training. A variety of topics and presenters will be featured. Come to our next meeting to help develop our plans! See training materials at www.crssla.org/casemanagement.
